This image maps out the entire structure of The Summa Theologica by Thomas Aquinas in the form of a large cathedral. This is the unframed print, the framed version is listed here.
The image is broken up into several sections, following the layout of the Summa Theologica: the lower orange section is the introduction, the yellow section is part one (God himself), the blue section is part two (God and man), and the red cross in the center is the third section (Christ and the sacraments). There's also a key in the lower middle.
Each section has many subsections and illustrations, graphics, or charts where applicable. While this obviously isn't a replacement for reading the Summa, this is as close as I could get to fitting one of the greatest and most influential works of theology and philosophy ever written into a two foot by three foot visually pleasing image.
This image was adapted from and based entirely on 'The Summa Illuminated: A Guide to St. Thomas Aquinas’s Masterpiece' by Cajetan Cuddy, OP (Copyright © 2026 by Cajetan Cuddy). This was used with permission of the publisher, Ave Maria Press®. I would not have been able to do this without standing on the expertise and work of the author, and his excellent book summarizing the Summa Theologica. You can find that book, which I highly recommend, on the Ave Maria Press website or other places books are sold.
